Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Rick Allan resigned from that cabinet post last week. Governor Corbett has named Ellen Ferretti as acting secretary of the agency.
Ferretti had been Deputy Secret for Parks and Forestry since June 2011. In this role, she was responsible for managing and directing the operations of the bureaus of state parks; forestry; and facility, design and construction. Ferretti had previously served on Corbett’s Transition Team as a member of the Energy and Environment Committee.
